Flores Garden Retreat is a self catering, life changing retreat space that offers a simple living lifestyle, a 3 acre garden, and a 15m. waterfall. This experience is an opportunity to design your own personal retreat and return the focus of attention to trust your own self. The property is a completely renovated 70s masterpiece that includes three levels of design, all with theatrical views, over 200 sq mt of living space and 300 sq mt of patio space. Two bathrooms, full kitchen, large master bedroom, guest bedroom, reading room, office space, and a yoga & art space. Although the property is the most spectacular in Flores and one of the most beautiful in the Azores, it is designed for a couple or individual searching for a catalyst in life to find their passion and purpose that is fuelled by beauty and authenticity.
The garden is a masterpiece of polished rock formations and flower lovers paradise that hosts a huge selection of seasoned flowers including agapanthus, day lilies, hydrangeas, belladonna lilies, irises, callas, and daffodils among others with local wildlife residents throughout. Every season is unique with the waterfall incredibly large in the Winter, rainbow season in the Fall/Spring, and the flower blooms in Spring/Summer.
SACRED ANCIENT HIMALAYAN ART
Flores Garden Retreat showcases many of the most sacred traditional paintings from the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan, as well as Northern India and Tibet. The Bhutanese representative art contain the spiritual traditions and sacred teachings such as Sacred Deities and Ancient Mandalas, which incarnate the stories of Buddha and spiritual conquest of the self. Works of art such as this are for the benefit of all humanity.
The art serves to aid prayer for spiritual seekers in search of understanding the feelings of the human soul. Although the art represents only the teachings of Buddha, other characters are praised such as Jesus or Krishna, as all these personalities embody the virtues and characteristics of God within their timeline.
